Chelsia Brodie

Chelsia is a rising star in the optical field. A Hillsborough Community College Alum, she’s worked with several companies in the Southeast, including Eyeglass World, Clarkson Eyecare, Eyemart Express, Walmart and now, Lenscrafters. Each of these employers contributed to the wealth of knowledge and experience as she pursued Florida Licensure.

In addition to passing the ABO and NCLE the first time, she was recognized as a natural leader and educator. Her approach to optics is full of enthusiasm and down to earth examples. She has the ability to break down tough concepts and present them creatively.  Chelsia values having access to quality education, which is why she joined OME. Her belief is that the optical field needs more resources with fewer obstacles to support those who decide to pursue this noble profession.

Currently, Chelsia is pursuing her Advanced AC, while leading within OME’s ABO Advanced Study Group. She also is a moderator on the ABO Advanced Facebook Group, where she writes micro lectures to present concepts in a quick digestible format. She actively apprentices’ others pursuing their license and includes OME as a resource for them to give them additional support.
